Honda Cvic Hatch CHECK ENGINE Help!!!

1994 Honda Civic Hatchback CX check engine light is on. The guy I bought the car from said he never had a problem driving the car, and to me it runs great. But the check engine light is on, he told me that it happened after he had the AC replaced about 8 months ago. If anyone has some good ideas, or an OBD1 Scanner to use, I can drive the car to you, or if you know a good shop to do it reasonably, I would appreciate the help. Thanks

make sure you reset your computer after installing the o2 sensor.....or go ahead and disconnect the battery before doing the work so that the ecu will have ample time to reset.

I know in my chevy truck you can use a paperclip and the check engine light will blink the code. Like if it blinks once than pauses and blinks 3times it would be 13. That's just an example and I am not sure if it will work on a civic. I haven't tried that on my imports

It works the exact same way, but you must distinguish long flashes from short flashes. Longs flashes would count as "10" and short flashes as "1".

used paper clip to get the blinks,41 came up. I changed the o2 sensor and the check engine light is now gone. I am good to go, hope this helps.
