got myself a money pit... i mean a 300zx, new here :D
so i got myself this little car
 it is a project, hopefully a simple one ( yeah right...) anyhow my name is juan and i am from galveston. pics of the z:  hopefully i can be useful for this forum and be productive.

yeah is a car with clean record, no accidents and such. though the engine is needing some tlc. intake manifold gaskets need replacing, and a fuel injector is bad. so as it sits, the car idles all funny and has very little power when accelerating in first gear and after 2k the power kicks in. anyhow, i hope is not so bad or else i will have to sell it to someone as a project car. |

If it's not you're daily then it shouldn't be bad. Also being mechanically inclined helps as well, instead of paying someone outside the cost of labor.

I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just saying taking a long drive can be annoying a couple of times a month, but it is to see your son so more power to you.

funny that some of the guys mention reliability issues, ive had experience with n/a 300's and tt 300's.. from my experience the tt was a nightmare, replaced the engine twice before getting annoyed such a tight engine bay, lots of cooling issues and just so hard to do anything without removing the engine.. but the n/a 300 had 250k miles before it gave up. but every z is different so who knows.
