ok so i was just minding my own business, not speeding, doing anything crazy, just cruising, suddenly i see the flashing red and blues behind and was like wtf did i do wrong?? they told me my motorcycle was unregistered(which it was) but the thing is, i cant register it under my name yet because the title hasnt came in the mail in order for me to register it, i have the bill of sale and all the documents needed to my purchase, also with updated inspection and insurance. now i have to go to court, but the thing is, do i have to pay a fine even though i have proof of insurance and bill of sale/documents??? help me out guys/gals

registration is usually a fix-it ticket. get it registered and bring the papers it will probably get dismissed

Cop is trolling by wasting your time! Get the title done right and the ticket will get dismissed.

Just make sure you go in by the date on the ticket... if you don't get stuff fixed on time you will have to pay more.

Do you mean it is still under the original owner name and the registration is up to date under previous person?

Here a rule on registration getting dropped (on expired ones). If your registration has be expired for 60 days or less, there will still be a $20-$30 fee that you have to pay. Expired more than 60 days forget about it, its does not get dropped. Unless you just bought the vehicle and you show proof you just bought it. Heard this last week while I was it court.

Damn that's crazy. The bikes I have had, including my recent one, have never been in my name and I have never had this problem when I get pulled over.

Lol, yes you have to pay the ticket if you don't get it registered. None of your other 'paperwork' stands in for registration.

Technically you can't operate it on the street until you get your sticker.
