Tough Mudder 2012 Austin - Houston-Imports.com

Im taking the plunge and doing my first mud race on October 6th in Paige Texas, near Austin. I'm looking to gather more for a team, currently have only 3 team members

but hoping for more. Anyone else interested in jumping on this with me?

Basically a half marathon where you get dredged in mud, shocked by electricity, and essentially kicked in the groin by all forces of nature ... I am in no shape to participate in it, but it does seem like something I'd love to do if I were 10 years younger.

I'll be there and I'll be at the super spartan as well. Did TM last year and it wasn't all that difficult. The large walls that you see people helping each other over you can just wall jump off the support and just grab on top and pull yourself over if you're too shy to ask for help.

I'm signed up for the Dallas March 31st TM. Completed several marathons in the past so I'm not worried too much about the endurance aspect as much as the upper body strength aspect of it.

The fact that I am signed up in a team helps tremendously.

ok i did my first toughmudder challange on Sat Jan 28th, the event was very well organized top notch, course is awesome, a pure test of everything you got, me i faired well for my first time, upper body perfect, lower body needs work, to get through this event besides the upper body, you must have good as cardio ( i cant stress this part enough) , the one thing you cant train for is the cold water, mudd shit they put you through, and i mean take your breathe away cold, but in the end its all about team work, not a race, but a challage just to finish. So if you want to test your body, mind and well power, fuck warrior dash, toughmudder is the one for you.

im doing it again in Oct Austin Tx also.

its not if you can run 12miles no problem....but most people can not

going to the gym 5 days a week pushing heavy weights as i do, wasnt enough
the video dont show you shit..

but if it looks to easy for you then try Spartan Race...

Will do once I pick up a some equipment this weekend to start training

and before the price goes up again lol

Know a few peeps that CrossFit and will be training with them too.

Yeah, crossfit will def keep you in shape for it. Im doing cf tomorow actually

I just recently started and tomorrow is my 2nd session.. It hurt the first time and I expect it to be painful tomorrow.. its free if you want to join tomorrow!
