Eh, I wouldn't look at it as "kiddie shit". It's a good challange for those who don't exercise regularly.

it's no walk in the park for sure, just compared to other events, spartan race, tough mudder, metro dash, beach palooza, it pales in comparison.

Did the metro dash a few weeks ago. Won't lie, I was a little disappointed with the course...too short and very disorganized.

i did my first toughmudder in Jan. 2012 If you cant run atleast 6 miles straight, your fucked, you also need upper body strength too, it will test you in everyway, it was the hardest thing i ever did, it was fun too. good luck!

My professor did tough mudder Dallas over the weekend. lady went over a Berlin and broke her ankle clean in half. Another lady had a dislocated finger and my professor blacked out going through the electroshock obstacle.
he said the hardest part was jumping into the ice pits. once you jump in you have to swim it, volunteers won't let you get out.

You dont need any amount to join, you just join.. If you want a team you have to be paid up before your time is confirmed

At Sunday's meet, one member had participated in last years TM and he did also confirm that the "ice pits" IS one of the toughest obsticle but it was the 2nd one tho. I know it will be tough and you have to be safe and alert at all times. Reading all their legal documents can scare you. I won't lie, I am freaking out BUT I do have an awesome team.

I'm running on the 6th at 10am, I have four months to get my stamina up. My running game has been slacking.

Same time our team starting too. I've heard it's not as tough as it seems but it doesn't hurt to properly train for it. Remember that this is a challenge with yourself and yourself only. It's not a competition and all I've really heard is that "upper body strength" is a must! One thing I am really working on at the moment.

Good luck and be safe. Know how far you can go and specially how far your BODY can go.
