1995 eg civic

i have a 1995 civic ex, automatic. on the cluster, all gauges work except the speedometer and the trip meter. so i never know how fast i'm really going, the engine light is intermittent but haven't had time to check code, i'm thinking it could just be the speed sensor that is faulty, i mean it's an old car, just wanted to know someone's else opinion on this problem. anyone? Thanks HI!

Check the sensor. Can prob get a cheap one at junk yard that would be a start.

Clean the connector and make sure the wires are all the way in....i had same problem bought new sensor off ebay for 15 and didnt fix it cleaned the connection and checked wires and havent had any other issues since.....not sayin ur sensor isnt bad but a can of brake clean and 5 minutes is cheaper to try first
